Sabarimala is a pilgrim centre of the Hindus located at Periyar Tiger Reserve in the Pathanamthitta district in Kerala. The shrine at Sabarimala is an ancient temple of Ayyappan situated amidst 18 hills. Sabarimala Pilgrimage is one of the largest annual pilgrimage in the world.
Sabarimala temple opens for worship on the first five days of each Malayalam month.
Sabarimala temple opens for Makaravilakku on January 14 and Maha Vishuva Sankranti on April 14.

Only Girls below 10 years and Females above 50 years are allowded to visit Sabarimala
Arrive Pampa by your own vehicle or KSRTC bus and then trek from Pampa to Sabarimala

Vechicles are permitted only up to Pamba, rest five kilometers should be covered by foot
For Old aged peoples and handicapped, porters and chairs are available
Pilgrim has to carry "irumudikettu" on his head till Sannidhanam
